Royals recall Bueno, option Verdugo

Kansas City, MO – The Kansas City Royals recalled pitcher Francisley Bueno from Triple-A Omaha and optioned pitcher Ryan Verdugo to the same club on Wednesday.

Bueno has appeared in two games out of the Royals' bullpen this season and is 0-0 with a 4.50 ERA.

Verdugo was recalled on Tuesday to make a start against the Mariners and allowed six runs on eight hits and two walks over 1 2/3 innings in his lone major league appearance.
