Baltimore Orioles second baseman Robert Andino will miss the next 3-4 weeks of action due to a left shoulder strain.

An MRI revealed the injury and Andino will be placed on the 15-day disabled list on Tuesday. Starter Zach Britton will be called up from Triple-A Norfolk to take his roster spot.

Andino, the Orioles' Opening Day starter at second base, is hitting .230 with five home runs and 21 RBI this season.

He was injured in the sixth inning of Sunday's game against the Detroit Tigers when he landed awkwardly after diving for a ball off the bat of Tigers catcher Alex Avila.
