The Toronto Blue Jays have cut ties with 49- year-old pitcher Jamie Moyer, doing so following Thursday night's 9-6 loss to the Kansas City Royals.
It's the third time Moyer has been released this season, including times with Colorado and Baltimore. He pitched in 10 games for the Rockies and went 2-5 with a 5.70 ERA.
Moyer struggled for Triple-A Las Vegas recently, allowing 10 runs over 11 innings in his two starts. He also gave up 17 hits.
In parts of 25 major league seasons, Moyer has compiled a 269-209 record with a 4.25 ERA in 696 games.
