Jets agree to terms with Meech

Winnipeg, MB – The Winnipeg Jets have agreed to terms with defenseman Derek Meech on a new contract.

Meech played in just two games for the Jets last season due to injury.

In 128 career NHL games with Detroit and Winnipeg, Meech has four goals and 12 assists. He was originally chosen by the Red Wings in the seventh round of the 2002 draft.
