A disappointing Western Conference finals loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder doesn't change the fact that the Spurs have no glaring holes as long as veteran unrestricted free agent Tim Duncan returns as expected and All-Star point guard Tony Parker recovers from an eye injury suffered in a New York night club.

There is little doubt that Duncan will be back in the Alamo City but Parker's future is in doubt after his cornea was scratched in a melee between the entourages of music stars Drake and Chris Brown over Rihanna.

The French star revealed he had to have an operation to remove a shard that had "penetrated 99 percent" of his left eye.

"I almost lost my eye," Parker said in an interview posted on his website Sunday.

It was so serious that Parker also said he has been having hallucinations and has been unable to leave his hotel room for eight days because of the risk of infection. He also has to apply five different products into his eye every two hours.

San Antonio can only cross its fingers when it comes to Parker and his health. The draft, meanwhile, will offer little help since the Spurs currently hold only the 59th overall pick.
