Denver, CO – The Colorado Rockies optioned pitcher Alex White to Triple-A Colorado Springs and recalled pitcher Zach Putnam from Colorado prior to Monday's game against the Washington Nationals.
White has started 10 games for Colorado this season, pitching to a 2-6 record with a 6.45 earned run average.
Putnam's lone appearance this season was on April 25 when he allowed one hit in a scoreless inning of relief.
The 24-year-old went 1-1 with a 6.14 ERA in eight games out of the bullpen last year.
