Mets place Francisco on DL

Flushing, NY – The New York Mets placed closer Frank Francisco on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to June 23, with a left oblique strain Sunday.

Francisco has appeared in 31 games for the Mets this season, pitching to a 1-3 record with a 4.97 earned run average and 18 saves in 21 opportunities.
