Eugene, OR – Four years after a trip cost her almost certain gold, Lolo Jones is going back to the Olympics.
Jones finished third behind reigning Olympic champion Dawn Harper and Kellie Wells in the final of 100-meter hurdles Saturday at the U.S. trials.
Later, favorite Carmelita Jeter won the 100-meter dash in front of Tianna Madison, Jeneba Tarmoh and Allyson Felix.
The top three finishers in each race qualify for London, where Jones will have another chance to run in the Olympics.
The 2008 trials champion entered Beijing as one of the favorites and led the final race before tripping over the second-to-last hurdle and finishing a disappointing seventh.
Harper, who won the gold, qualified fastest Saturday at 12.73 seconds. Wells took second at 12.77 and Jones crossed .09 seconds after that.
Jeter, the reigning world champion and No. 1 in the world for the past three years in the 100 meters, finished at 10.92 seconds to beat Madison (10.96).
Tarmoh's time of 11.068 seconds originally gave her a third place victory over Felix by just .001 seconds -- but it was later changed to a tie. Officials were trying to determine how to decide on a third place finisher.
