Morgan Pressel and Jay Haas combined for a 12-under 59 on Tuesday to earn a two-stroke victory at the CVS Charity Classic.

The performance at Rhode Island Country Club allowed them to take the title with a score of 21-under-par 121.

Suzann Pettersen and Fred Funk also fired a 59 and shared second place with Lexi Thompson and Corey Pavin (60) at minus-19.

Brittany Lincicome and Brett Quigley used an 11-under 60 to reach 17-under for the tournament and took fourth place.

Pressel and Haas had shared the lead with two other teams -- tournament hosts Billy Andrade and Brad Faxon, and Juli Inkster and Dana Quigley -- after the first round.

But neither could keep pace Tuesday. Andrade and Faxon posted a 7-under 64, while Inkster and Quigley managed a 5-under 66.

Andrade and Faxon finished at 16-under and tied for fifth with Lorena Ochoa and Mark Calcavecchia (62), as well as women's world No. 1 Yani Tseng and Jeff Sluman (62). The retired Ochoa returned to action for this two-day charity event.

Cristie Kerr and John Cook (63) ended alone in eighth at minus-15, while Inkster and Dana Quigley sank to ninth at 14-under. Annika Sorenstam, who also came out of retirement for the tournament, and Peter Jacobsen got back under par with a 64. They were last at 5-under.
