Bronx, NY – The New York Yankees activated reliever David Robertson from the 15-day disabled list.
Robertson, who was placed on the D.L. May 15 with a strained left oblique, is 0-1 with a 2.51 earned run average and a save in 15 games this season. Last year, Robertson made his first All-Star team after sporting a 1.08 ERA in 66 2/3 innings.
The team made room for Robertson by optioning pitcher David Phelps to Single-A Tampa. Phelps was 1-2 with a 2.94 ERA in 33 2/3 innings for the Yankees this season.
