Astros acquire prospect from KC

Houston, TX – The Houston Astros have acquired outfield prospect D'Andre Toney from the Kansas City Royals to complete a trade from March.

The Astros had sent catcher Humberto Quintero and outfielder Jason Bourgeois to the Royals in exchange for minor league pitcher Kevin Chapman and a player to be named later.

Toney, who had been at Kansas City's extended spring training this season, was selected by the Royals in the 14th round of the 2011 draft. The 20-year-old will report to Houston's minor league club in Greenville.
