Atlanta, GA – Julio Teheran will spot-start for Tim Hudson on Sunday, Atlanta Braves manager Fredi Gonzalez announced on Saturday.
As a precaution, Hudson will take the time to rest a sore ankle.
Hudson, 36, missed most of the season's first month after undergoing back surgery in November. He is 4-2 with a 3.83 ERA and 31 strikeouts in 54 innings this year.
Teheran will make his for start of 2012. He went 1-1 with a 5.03 ERA in five games -- three starts -- last season.
The Braves optioned catcher J.C. Boscan to Triple-A Gwinnett to make room on the roster.
