Atletico Mineiro announced the signing of Ronaldinho on Tuesday after the former World Player of the Year walked out on his Flamengo contract.

Ronaldinho had his contract with the Rio de Janeiro club rescinded last week, citing unpaid wages and bonuses as the impetus. It has not taken long for the 32-year-old to find a new home as he put pen to paper on a six-month deal with Atletico Mineiro.

"I want to play well, to help Atletico to success little-by-little and hopefully to be a champion," Ronaldinho told reporters at his unveiling. "I will only gain the confidence of the fans by winning and playing well."

Atletico Mineiro has taken six points from its opening two Brasileiro contests, earning back-to-back 1-0 defeats of Ponte Preta and Corinthians.
