Liverpool forward Dirk Kuyt has confirmed that he will be leaving the club for Fenerbahce after signing a three-year deal with the Turkish side.
Kuyt joined Liverpool in 2006 from Feyenoord and tallied 71 goals in 285 appearances for the Reds during his six-year stay at Anfield.
The Dutchman flourished under former manager Rafael Benitez, but struggled to lock down a regular place in the first team under Kenny Dalglish, who left his managerial post shortly after the season.
The 31-year-old scored two goals in 34 league matches for Liverpool this past season, but the club confirmed in a statement on its website that Kuyt's move would be completed in the next few days.
"Liverpool Football Club can confirm that Dirk Kuyt has advised the club that he has today reached an agreement with Fenerbahce over a move to Turkey, and the transfer is expected to be completed in the next few days," read the statement.
"Everyone at Liverpool Football Club would like to wish Dirk all the very best for the future and thank him for his contribution to the club."
