The Los Angeles Dodgers reinstated outfielder/first baseman Juan Rivera from the 15-day disabled list and placed reliever Javy Guerra on the DL Monday.
Rivera, who landed on the DL May 9 with a left hamstring strain, went 3-for-12 with two homers and five RBI in four combined rehab games with Triple-A Albuquerque and Single-A Rancho Cucamonga.
In 25 games with the Dodgers this season the 33-year-old batted .247 with two home runs and 13 RBI.
Guerra, who is dealing with right knee inflammation, is 2-3 with eight saves and a 3.38 ERA in 27 relief appearances this season.
The Dodgers also selected the contract of reliever Shawn Tolleson from Albuquerque, optioned outfielder Scott Van Slyke to Albuquerque and transferred pitcher Matt Guerrier to the 60-day disabled list.
Tolleson was a combined 0-1 with five saves and a 2.82 ERA in 19 relief appearances with Double-A Chattanooga and Albuquerque this season. He will make his MLB debut when he appears in a game for the Dodgers.
Van Slyke hit just .194 with one home run and six RBI over 17 games with Los Angeles.
