Chelsea confirmed on Monday that the club has agreed to a deal with French side Lille for the transfer of winger Eden Hazard.
The 21-year-old has been one of the most coveted players of the summer, drawing interest from the biggest clubs in the world like Barcelona, Real Madrid, Manchester City and Manchester United among others.
But Chelsea has beaten those clubs to the signature of the Belgium international, who cost the Blues a reported fee of nearly $50 million.
Hazard passed a medical at Chelsea on Monday and the club announced that personal terms have been agreed as well.
"I'm delighted to finally arrive here. It's a wonderful club and I can't wait to get started," Hazard told Chelsea's official website.
In 48 games in all competitions for Lille this past season Hazard tallied 21 goals and assisted on 18 more.
Hazard joins Werder Bremen winger Marko Marin as new arrivals at Stamford Bridge so far this summer, with FC Porto forward Hulk heavily linked with a move as well.
