Frisco, TX –  The NCAA has scheduled this season's Division I Football Championship Game at FC Dallas Stadium for 1 p.m. ET on Saturday, Jan. 5.

Tickets for the game will go on sale later this summer. The game will be televised on ESPN2.

Last season, a sellout crowd of 20,586 watched North Dakota State beat Sam Houston State, 17-6, in the second year of Frisco's three-year agreement as championship host.

The Southland Conference will serve as the host conference again.

The 20-team FCS playoffs will begin on Nov. 24.
