Minneapolis, MN –  The Oakland Athletics have reinstated infielder Brandon Inge from the 15-day disabled list and optioned catcher Anthony Recker to Triple-A Sacramento.

Inge was batting .227 with four home runs and 17 RBI in 11 games with the A's when he was placed on the DL May 17 with a strained right groin. He started the season with Detroit and went 2-for-20 in nine games before he was released.

Recker was batting .129 in 13 games with Oakland.
