Jays' Alvarez ejected after inside pitch

Toronto Blue Jays starter Henderson Alvarez was ejected from Saturday's game against the Rangers after throwing an inside pitch that didn't hit the batter.

Alvarez had just given up back-to-back-to-back home runs to lose the lead, but was ahead in the count 1-2 when he threw a fastball inside to Ian Kinsler.

Kinsler threw his hips back to avoid the pitch, but umpire Marty Foster walked in front of home plate and ejected Alvarez anyway.

Blue Jays manager John Farrell stormed out of the dugout to argue with Foster.

Nelson Cruz, Yorvit Torrealba and Mitch Moreland hit three straight homers to give the Rangers a 5-4 lead in the inning.
