Pirates designate McLouth

The Pittsburgh Pirates have designated outfielder Nate McLouth for assignment and recalled infielder/outfielder Matt Hague from Triple-A Indianapolis.

McLouth was hitting .140 with two RBI in 34 games for the Pirates this season.

Hague started the year with Pittsburgh and went 1-for-9 with two RBI in five games before being optioned to Indianapolis on April 14.

He was batting .278 with one home run and 15 RBI in 36 games with Indianapolis this season.
