Stuttgart, Germany –  German tennis star Andrea Petkovic will miss the upcoming French Open because of an ankle injury.

The world No. 15 has missed most of the 2012 season to this point because of back, knee and ankle injuries.

Petkovic reached the quarterfinals at three of the four Grand Slam events last year, including the French Open, which will get underway Sunday in Paris.
