Denver, CO – The Colorado Rockies optioned left-hander Rex Brothers to Colorado Springs on Sunday and recalled righty Adam Ottavino from the Triple-A affiliate.
Brothers has a 2-2 record and 5.87 ERA in 22 appearances this season with 21 strikeouts and 12 walks in 15 1/3 innings.
He gave up an unearned run in Saturday's loss to Seattle.
Ottavino had a 3.20 ERA in 13 games for the Sky Sox with 25 strikeouts in 19 2/3 innings.
