The Los Angeles Dodgers have placed second baseman Mark Ellis on the 15-day disabled list due to a left leg injury.
Ellis, who is hitting .273 with a pair of homers and nine RBI in 37 games this season, was hurt during Friday night's 6-5 win against the Cardinals when he was upended by Tyler Greene on a take-out slide in the seventh inning.
The Dodgers recalled infielder Ivan De Jesus from Triple-A Albuquerque to take Ellis' roster spot.
