The Tampa Bay Rays placed outfielder Desmond Jennings on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to May 12, with a sprained left knee.
Jennings originally suffered the injury on May 6 against Oakland and he left that game. However, he did make two pinch-hit appearances since then.
Jennings, who is one of seven Rays on the DL, is batting .265 with three homers and 11 RBI in 31 games this season.
To take his spot on the roster, the team recalled outfielder Stephen Vogt from Triple-A Durham.
