Chicago, IL – Kansas City Royals starter Danny Duffy departed Sunday's 9-1 win over the White Sox with elbow tightness.
Duffy retired two batters and walked Gordon Beckham in the bottom of the first inning before leaving.
Luis Mendoza took over from there and picked up the win after scattering seven hits and one run over 5 2/3 frames of long relief.
