Royals reinstate Holland

Chicago, IL – The Kansas City Royals reinstated pitcher Greg Holland off the 15-day disabled list Saturday.

Holland made seven appearances out of the bullpen this season with an 0-2 record and an 11.37 earned run average before missing the last 18 games with a left rib stress reaction.

The Royals optioned pitcher Nate Adcock to Triple-A Omaha to make room on the roster.

Adcock had a 2.89 ERA with no decisions in three relief appearances for Kansas City.
