The NBA handed down fines to Atlanta Hawks co- owner Michael Gearon and rookie forward Ivan Johnson on Saturday.
Gearon was fined $35,000 for publicly criticizing NBA officiating and making negative comments about an opposing player.
He called Boston Celtics forward Kevin Garnett "the dirtiest guy in the game" at a speaking engagement on Wednesday.
Johnson was fined $25,000 for making an obscene gesture toward fans after an 83-80 loss in Boston on Thursday that knocked the Hawks out of the playoffs.
NBA executive vice president of basketball operations Stu Jackson announced the fines.
