Turin, Italy – Juventus has already secured its place atop the Serie A table this season, but the Old Lady is now eyeing a place in history as the club attempts to complete the first unbeaten season in Serie A since AC Milan in 1991-92.
Juve's 2-0 victory over Cagliari last weekend combined with AC Milan's 4-2 defeat against Inter Milan handed Juve its first title since 2003, and Antonio Conte's team will try to cap its season with at least one point against mid- table Atalanta.
Milan will have little incentive in its match against already-relegated Novara with the Rossoneri locked into second place.
The most interesting battle on Sunday will be for the third and final Champions League place as Udinese sits in pole position with a two-point lead heading into the final day.
Udinese will travel to mid-table Catania needing a win to seal third place, while a draw could also be enough because the Friuli outfit owns the tiebreaker with fourth-place Lazio, which sits two points back.
Lazio faces a tougher test with a home match against Inter Milan, while fifth- place Napoli is still in the mix but needs a win over Siena as well as a loss by Udinese and a loss or draw by Lazio.
At the other end of the table, two teams have already been assured of relegation as Cesena plays out its final game in Serie A against Roma, who will have a new coach next year after it was announced on Friday that Luis Enrique will step down.
Novara is the other side set to play in Serie B next season, and Lecce looks likely to join them unless the club can beat Chievo and have Genoa lose to Palermo.
The other matches on Serie A's final day include Parma meeting Bologna and Fiorentina hosting Cagliari.
