Wild give D Stoner two-year extension

The Minnesota Wild signed defenseman Clayton Stoner to a two-year contract extension on Thursday.

Stoner had one goal and four assists in 51 games last season for the Wild. His plus-3 rating was the best among all Wild defensemen.

Selected by Minnesota in the third round of the 2004 NHL Entry Draft, Stoner has three goals and 13 assists in 116 career contests with Minnesota.
