British rapper Wretch 32 says he is proud to appear at the London Olympics.

He's not competing, he's performing at concerts around the U.K. celebrating the Olympic torch's route as it travels to the games.

The Londoner will join Dizzee Rascal, The Wanted and Mark Ronson at a Hyde Park show in London July 26, the day before the Olympics' opening ceremony.

Wretch 32 said: "I wanted to be involved as much as I possibly could because it's such a big deal ... I'm going to be telling my kids and my grandkids I was part of the campaign."

Wretch 32 is currently on tour. His latest single "Hush Little Baby" will be released May 27.

These days he says he works out on stage — joking that he could easily have been an Olympian, if it wasn't for the sweating.
