Phillies activate Lee

The Philadelphia Phillies on Wednesday activated pitcher Cliff Lee from the 15-day disabled list, hours before he is scheduled to start against the Mets.

Lee was placed on the DL on April 21 after suffering a left oblique strain during his 10-inning outing against the Giants just a few days earlier.

The 33-year-old left-hander is 0-1 with a 1.96 ERA this season.

To make room for Lee in on the roster, Philadelphia optioned reliever Michael Schwimer to Triple-A Lehigh Valley.
