The Seattle Seahawks and first-round pick Bruce Irvin have come to terms on a contract.
Irvin, a defensive end from West Virginia, broke the news on his Twitter feed Monday afternoon and the team later confirmed it.
"I'm just ready to work the money is cool," Irvin wrote. "If you took the money away I still would play this game for free! #WVU #12thman."
The Seahawks selected Irvin with the 15th overall pick in April's draft. A junior college transfer, he had 8 1/2 sacks as a senior in 2011 after leading the Big East with 14 sacks in 2010.
The Seahawks also signed seven other draft choices: linebackers Bobby Wagner and Korey Toomer; quarterback Russell Wilson; cornerback Jeremy Lane; safety Winston Guy; guard J.R. Sweezy; and defensive end Greg Scruggs.
Only two fourth-round draft picks -- running back Robert Turbin and defensive tackle Jaye Howard -- have yet to agree ahead of this weekend's rookie minicamp.
