Otman Bakkal, Sekou Cisse and Elvis Manu scored in an 11-minute stretch of the second half, and Feyenoord defeated Heerenveen in the Eredivisie on Sunday, 3-2, to secure Champions League play.

Feyenoord won eight of its last nine and concluded the season on an 11-fixture undefeated streak, as it held off PSV Eindhoven for second place and a spot in next season's Champions League qualification stages.

Heerenveen settled for fifth place to miss an automatic Europa League spot and will try to reach the competition through the league's playoff system.

Dries Mertens scored his 21st goal to guide PSV Eindhoven to a 3-1 win against relegated Excelsior, but his side settled for third and an automatic Europa berth.

Erik Falkenburg scored as AZ Alkmaar edged Groningen, 1-0, to claim the second automatic Europa League place.

Lasse Schone and Genero Zeefuik scored as NEC downed Heracles, 2-1, to finish eighth on goal differential to claim a Europa playoff position.

Champions Ajax, who previously clinched, used goals from Dmitry Bulykin, Andre Ooijer and Jan Vertonghen to defeat Vitesse, 3-1, and end the season on a 14- game unbeaten streak. Vitesse finished seventh to make the Europa playoffs.

Vitesse, the fourth team to qualify for the league's Europa playoffs, fell to Venlo, 4-2, on the final day of the season as Steven Berghuis bagged the game- winner in the 84th minute. Venlo still finished 16th and will try to stay in the league in the relegation playoffs.

RKC Waalwijk just missed the Europa playoffs as it lost, 3-2, to NAC. Robbert Schilder scored the match-winner for NAC.

Michael de Leeuw scored a brace as De Graafschap, which finished 17th and will play in the relegation playoffs, ended with a 5-3 win over Den Haag.

Alexander Gerndt, Yoshiaki Takagi and Frank Demouge scored as Utrecht wrapped up its season with a 3-1 win over Roda. Sanharib Malki scored his 25th goal of the season for Roda.
