The Calgary Flames announced that forward Olli Jokinen underwent successful surgery earlier this week to repair a tear in an abdominal muscle.
Tuesday's procedure was performed by Dr. William Meyers at the Vincera Core Physicians Clinic in Philadelphia.
Jokinen, who will need 3-to-4 weeks to recover, first reported discomfort in late March and opted to play through the pain.
The 33-year-old Finn registered 23 goals and 38 assists while playing all 82 games in 2011-12.
