Royals pitcher Danny Duffy will not make his scheduled start Friday against the Twins due to an elbow issue.

Duffy acknowledged the issue on his Twitter account but played it down, writing, "i appreciate all the love! The elbow is 'feelin good, feelin alrighttt, yeaaa..' Ill be back next start!"

In three starts this season, Duffy is 1-2 with a 3.63 earned run average.

Kansas City announced that Everett Teaford, 0-1 with a 3.86 ERA in two relief appearances this season, will make the spot-start in place of Duffy.
