Ike Davis clubbed a three-run homer, Dillon Gee tossed seven strong innings and the New York Mets posted a 6-1 win over the Atlanta Braves at Turner Field.

Gee (1-1) gave up one run on four hits as the Mets opened this three-game set just like they did their season by beating Tommy Hanson (1-2) and the Braves. New York posted a season-opening three-game sweep of Atlanta at Citi Field.

Hanson was tagged for five runs -- four earned -- on five hits in seven frames. He was the hard-luck loser in the Braves' 1-0 opening-day setback.

Atlanta had won five in a row after an 0-4 start. The Mets, meanwhile, improved to 7-3 on the young season.
