The Utah Jazz announced Monday that guard Earl Watson will be out indefinitely with a torn medial meniscus in his right knee.

Watson left Sunday's loss to the San Antonio Spurs with the injury and an MRI on Monday revealed the extent of the damage.

The injury will require surgery, but the date of the procedure has not been scheduled yet.

Through 50 games -- two starts -- with Utah this season, Watson is averaging 3.0 points, 2.4 rebounds and 4.3 assists a game.
