Washington, DC – Washington Capitals goaltender Michal Neuvirth was forced to leave Thursday's game against the Florida Panthers due to an injury.
With 14:21 left in the second period, Florida's Marco Sturm fell on Neuvirth's left knee. Neuvirth was in obvious pain and needed help getting off the ice.
Braden Holtby took over in net for Washington in a key Southeast Division battle.
