The Arizona Diamondbacks assigned infielder Cody Ransom to Triple-A Reno and placed two players on the 15-day disabled list amongst roster moves on Wednesday.

Ransom batted just .152 with two doubles, a home run and four RBI in 12 games with Arizona last season. He hit .317 with 27 homers, 29 doubles and 92 runs batted in over 101 games with Reno a season ago.

Finally, infielder Stephen Drew and pitcher Takashi Saito will begin the year on the DL.
