Los Angeles Clippers guard Chris Paul and Boston Celtics forward Paul Pierce were named the NBA Players of the Week for games played through April 1.

Paul guided the Clippers to a 4-0 record as they earned their first five-game winning streak since November 2006. He recorded 25 points and 10 assists against the Hornets, his former team, on March 26 and averaged 21.5 points per contest through the week. He tied his season-high with 15 assists against the Suns on March 28.

The Celtics also won all four games during the week, led by Pierce, who averaged nearly six points above his season-average with 25.0 points per game, including a season-high 36 in a 102-95 win over Charlotte on March 26. He scored a team-high 23 points as Boston won its fifth straight game against the Southeast Division-leading Miami Heat on April 1.

Other nominees for the Eastern and Western Conference Players of the Week were Boston's Kevin Garnett, Detroit's Tayshaun Prince, the Clippers' Blake Griffin, New Jersey's Deron Williams, New York's Carmelo Anthony and Oklahoma City's Russell Westbrook.
