Boston Celtics center/forward Jermaine O'Neal underwent season-ending surgery on his left wrist on Friday.

The 6-foot-11 veteran has a chronic degenerative wrist condition that was exacerbated during the Celtics' loss to Dallas on February 20th.

O'Neal averaged 5.0 points, 5.4 rebounds and 1.7 blocks over 25 games, 24 of which were starts, before sustaining the injury.

Over his 15-year career with Portland, Indiana, Toronto, Miami and Boston, O'Neal has averages of 13.7 points, 7.4 rebounds and 1.9 blocks in 911 contests (680 starts).
