Major League Soccer handed Colin Clark a three-game suspension as well as a fine for an undisclosed amount on Wednesday after the Houston Dynamo midfielder used offensive language toward a ball boy in the seventh minute of the club's match against Seattle Sounders FC on March 24.

Commissioner Don Garber issued the penalty and also mandated that Clark attend diversity and sensitivity training, supplemental to the training that all MLS clubs attend at the beginning of each season.

"Major League Soccer will not tolerate this type of behavior from its players or staff at any time, under any circumstances," Garber said. "Colin Clark has expressed sincere remorse for his actions and I believe that he will learn from this incident."

Houston's next three contests are all on the road against the Chicago Fire, Columbus Crew and D.C. United.
