Tseng extends lead in world rankings

World No. 1 Yani Tseng won for the third time in five LPGA events this year and again extended her lead atop the world rankings.

Tseng's lead of 9.26 average points now exceeds the point total of world No. 2 Na Yeon Choi, who has 9.04 average points.

Following the top two, Suzann Pettersen, Cristie Kerr and Sun Ju Ahn remained in the third to fifth positions.

Jiyai Shin, who shared third behind Tseng at the Kia Classic, jumped two places to No. 6. Ai Miyazato remained seventh, while Paula Creamer fell two spots to eighth.

Stacy Lewis was No. 9 again this week, Shanshan Feng climbed two to 10th and Brittany Lincicome and I.K. Kim both dipped one spot to 11th and 12th.

Angela Stanford held steady in 13th and was again trailed by Amy Yang, Ji-Hee Lee, Chie Arimura and Morgan Pressel.

Catriona Matthew moved up three to 18 as Karrie Webb, So Yeon Ryu and Michelle Wie slid one notch apiece.
