Sarasota, FL – The Baltimore Orioles placed second baseman Brian Roberts and left-handed pitcher Zach Britton on the 15-day disabled list Monday among a slew of other moves.
Roberts went on the DL with a concussion and Britton is sidelined because of a left shoulder impingement.
The Orioles also assigned pitchers Dontrelle Willis and Armando Galarraga, outfielder Scott Beerer, catcher John Hester and infielder Steve Tolleson to minor league camp.
They optioned infielder Matt Antonelli and pitchers Brad Bergesen and Jason Berken to Triple-A Norfolk.
Willis, once a 22-game winner in the majors, was signed to a minor league contract last week with an invitation to spring training after he was released by the Philadelphia Phillies.
