New York, NY – New York Red Bulls forward Thierry Henry was named the Major League Soccer Player of the Week for Week 3 of the MLS season on Monday.
Henry scored two goals and added one assist in the Red Bulls' 4-1 victory over the Colorado Rapids on Sunday, handing the club its first win of the campaign.
The Frenchman netted his first goal after three minutes and then played provider on Kenny Cooper's goal to make it 2-0.
New York's lead was extended to three goals in the second half when Henry tallied his second goal of the game en route to the 4-1 victory.
