Jake Roos birdied the fifth playoff hole Saturday to win the Platinum Classic on the South African Tour.
Roos made a three-foot birdie putt to best Chris Swanepoel and Anthony Michael. It was Roos' third victory on tour and all three came in sudden-death playoffs.
"It was grueling, but I felt good in the playoff," said Roos. "I felt relaxed, so I knew as long as I was in there, I had a good chance."
Roos shot a two-under 70 in the final round to match Swanepoel (65) and Michael (63) at 14-under 202.
Ulrich van den Berg and Dean Burmester both carded rounds of three-under 69 on Saturday to share fourth at 13-under par.
Warren Abery bogeyed his last two holes to lose his shot at the playoff. He finished with a two-under 70 and tied for sixth with James Kamte (67) and second-round leader Divan van den Heever (74) at minus-12.
