Paul Heffernan scored two goals in the second half to lead Kilmarnock to a 2-0 win over Motherwell at Rugby Park, setting up a potential title-clinching chance for Celtic.
The result means that the Hoops can clinch the league with a win at Ibrox against Rangers tomorrow, while Motherwell remains level with Ally McCoist's side following the defeat.
Kilmarnock captured the League Cup last weekend and built on that success by snapping a four-game winless streak in the league on Saturday.
Motherwell was in a good run of form having won four of its last five games entering the match, but fell behind shortly after halftime when Heffernan collected a through ball and had his shot saved by goalkeeper Darren Randolph, only to score on the rebound.
Heffernan then put the result away from the penalty spot in the 62nd minute after Motherwell's Shaun Hutchinson brought down James Fowler inside the area.
Inverness 1, Aberdeen 0

Aberdeen's struggles continue with the team having gone winless in its last six games and now having no chance at a place in the top half of the league.
Inverness sits 11 points clear of Dunfermline at the foot of the table.

Dunfermline, Scotland - Jim Jefferies collected a point in his first game in charge of Dunfermline on Saturday as Joe Cardle scored early in the second half of a 1-1 game against St Mirren for the last-place side.
Dunfermline came into the contest on a three-game losing streak and went behind in the 38th minute to a goal from Steven Thompson.
But Dunfermline answered back one minute into the second half when Cardle scrambled home a loose ball from close range to move his side to within three points of Hibernian in 11th place.

Edinburgh, Scotland - Dundee United picked up three more points on Saturday at Hibernian with a 2-0 win that gives the club five successive victories.
The match remained scoreless until the 66th minute when Johnny Russell scored on the rebound after John Rankin's shot was saved by goalkeeper Graham Stack.
The 'keeper was picking the ball out of his net again in the 73rd minute when Gary Mackay-Steven received a pass on the wing, cut inside and beat Stack at his near post to seal the win.
Hibs is now three points clear of last-place Dunfermline.
St Johnstone 2, Hearts 1
Perth, Scotland - St Johnstone secured a place in the top half of the league on Saturday with a 2-1 win over Hearts.
The two sides traded goals in the first half with the Edinburgh side taking the lead in the 29th minute through Jason Holt, only for Murray Davidson to equalize six minutes later.
Francisco Sandaza made the difference for St Johnstone in the final 15 minutes when he was fouled inside the area by Marius Zaliukas and picked himself up to score from the penalty spot, extending St Johnstone's unbeaten run to five games.
