Metairie, LA – The New Orleans Saints and linebacker Chris Chamberlain agreed to terms on a three-year contract on Friday.
Chamberlain, 6-foot-1, 238 pounds, was originally drafted by the St. Louis Rams in the seventh round of the 2008 draft. In four seasons with the Rams, Chamberlain has appeared in 59 games -- 19 starts -- and posted 112 tackles (70 solo), two sacks, one interception, three pass defenses and one forced fumble.
Last season for the Rams, Chamberlain played in all 16 games, including 13 starts, and recorded a career-high 84 tackles -- 51 solo -- two sacks, one interception, one pass defensed and one forced fumble.
Chamberlain also contributed on special teams for the Rams, as he led the team in special teams tackles in 2009 with 28 -- the most by a Ram since 1998.
