The Portland Trail Blazers claimed forward J.J. Hickson off waivers from Sacramento on Wednesday.

Hickson, waived by the Kings on Monday, averaged 4.7 points and 5.1 rebounds per contest over 35 games -- nine starts -- with Sacramento this season after being traded from Cleveland in the offseason.

In four NBA campaigns with the Cavaliers and Kings, the 23-year-old NC State product has recorded averages of 8.5 points and 5.6 rebounds in 258 games, 148 of which were starts.

To make room for Hickson on their roster, Portland waived center Mehmet Okur.
