Los Angeles, CA – Paul Millsap's 24 points led six Utah 99, on Sunday.
Enes Kanter and Alec Burks finished with 17 points apiece -- a new career-high for both -- while Derrick Favors, Josh Howard and Devin Harris all tallied 12 points for the Jazz, who won their third straight contest. Favors also grabbed 10 rebounds.
Andrew Bynum poured in a game-high 33 points to go with 11 rebounds and Pau Gasol had 18 and 10, respectively, in defeat. Kobe Bryant scored 15 points but made just 3-of-20 attempts from the floor for Los Angeles, which saw a five- game winning streak snapped.
The Lakers had also won 10 in a row at home, and lost for just the third time this season (19-3) at Staples Center.
Los Angeles rallied from six points down to tie it as at 78-78 early in the fourth, but Utah proceeded to take its largest lead of the game by rolling off an 11-1 run.
Kanter and Favors begun the spurt when they each made a pair of free-throws before Burks scored the Jazz's next seven by himself, interrupted only by 1- of-2 from the charity stripe by Bynum.
The Lakers steadily chipped away and cut their deficit to three points on three separate trips down the floor, only to see an immediate response. Bryant's missed three-point attempt with 1.9 ticks on the clock finished off the Lakers for good.
Bynum netted 16 points in the first half, but the Jazz countered with a balanced attack that saw six players score five or more points. The visitors held a 45-44 edge at halftime.
Los Angeles outshot Utah 55.6 percent to 50 percent in the third; however, the Lakers committed seven turnovers during that stretch, and the Jazz outscored their hosts 30-25 in the quarter.
Ramon Sessions finished with 10 points on 1-of-7 shooting in his second game as a Laker...The Jazz were without Raja Bell, Al Jefferson and Earl Watson...Utah's Jamaal Tinsley was issued a Flagrant 1 foul with 9:36 to play in the fourth...There were 13 ties and nine lead changes.
